“When I first came to the office in Strijen in June 2019 for a new job, I wasn’t sure yet if I wanted to pursue a career in accountancy. Despite that, I went ahead with the interview. What immediately struck me was the relaxed atmosphere. The conversation was very
positive, and they put all my doubts to rest.
It’s also a really friendly company. We all get along well with each other. During breaks, we often go out for lunch together or take a walk. We also see and talk to each other outside of work. Plus, there’s an enjoyable company outing every year.
I’m still learning new things on the job every day, such as specific regulations for financial statements. What gives me a lot of satisfaction is helping to set up new companies and organizing their bookkeeping. I enjoy the challenge of delivering a well-prepared financial statement. Every set of accounts is different, and that keeps the work diverse. If I wanted to, I could definitely grow within the company, but for now, I don’t have that ambition. Maybe in 5 or 10 years.
SRL Accountants & Tax Advisors has multiple partners, which technically means I have several employers. But it doesn’t feel that way. They are just colleagues. If there’s anything, I can approach any of them. They are all compassionate and flexible, which is really nice
when your employer is so considerate. It certainly makes me more willing to accommodate their requests in return.”
